£100 laptop

I so want one! but in silver

The ONE's groundbreaking price point has been achieved by using the open source software Linux. This operating system has gained popularity in recent rears as it brings back the freedom of software development back to the individual, rather than the reliance on the monopoly of large corporations. It is hoped that the children learning computing on the ONE nowadays, will have the skills to design the software we will all be using in the future.

But to be honest for me the selling point is the fact it is shock proof, splash proof and has no moving parts, it's a fisher price computer with Tux inside ... wonder if you can get one with penguins?

the only down side is although you can reserve one they're not shipping till June 2008!

Still Waiting

gone 4, no one came, I think they are unlikely to come now.

On the plus side I've been home with Ulrick while next door have stuff cut down, he's not happy about it at all, much barking, proper barking as well, big grumpy dog barking, bless! I think he thinks they may invade.

Courtesy of Google Analytics I can now see where people are when they pop in for a look at my wittering, I'm thinking 4 Continent's is pretty good considering there is absolutely no worthwhile content ...

now all I have to work out is how to get the others; apparently there is a research centre in Antarctica.

Oh, just one more thing...

Quote of the Day
(Taken from the popular web page, I thought this was worth sharing)

Idealism is what precedes experience; cynicism is what follows.

- David T. Wolf

So now the question is which one to I click first?
