How cool is that!
When procrastination just is not enough
Having spent about 20 min trying to work out why my TV was playing up, contrast all wrong and continual subtitles ... then remember that we'd taken it down to emb's grandmother and tuned it for her ... 90 year old lady's need there TV's set up differently!
All fixed now ... but watching the first buffy ep, just to make sure.

I have been reliably informed there are only two days of the year when one can go clubbing with ones parents with impunity, Christmas & Easter. That's a relief!
Last night I went out with the family, to a broad street bar to see the wonder that is
1. Pick 15 of your favourite movies. (Not necessarily in order).
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions to answer!
(apologies to who ever did this first, I got the idea from James)
Addendum: I am fickle, these are films from my (& emb’s) DVD collection, so I like them, but that doesn’t make them good.
01. Do I look like I own tights?
02. Interesting man, your doctor. Not many doctors write notes on three-hole paper.
03. Where is my beige iridescent lipstick?
04. Oh, don't play dumb. We're better at it then you.
05. I don't look at it as dropping out! I look at it as a very strategic career move.
06. What do I need manners for? I already got me a wife.
07. I now know the hottie rating of every ex-convict in the western
08. You embarrassed the girl. Sacrifice yourself on the alter of dignity and even the score.
09. We're broadcasting live from down by the river side where three lost souls are trying to find Jesus... although personally... I don't think this is where he fell in
10. Hold it, hold it. What is this? Are you trying to trick me? Where's the sports? Is this a kissing book?
11. What family would want a daughter-in-law who can run around kicking football all day but can't make round chapattis?
12. Better a silly girl with a flower than a silly boy with a horse and a stick.
13. I was wondering, you know, while I was up there and all, I was thinking, well you know, I was wondering if maybe I could meet a girl? I've been thinking about that a little. Just these last fifteen years or so.
14. Any guy can sweep any girl off her feet, he just needs the right broom.
15. Mother thinks that any single man with big bucks is shopping for a wife.
(bonus if you know the quote it paraphrases)
So, all welcome, please have a go, I’ll put the answers up next week.
It's saturday night I'm messing about, typing and having worrying flashbacks. I'm listening to "the HITS" from freeview, the current program is:
I've been on yet more medication, the whole cocktail of physcoactivity in not doing as well as I might have hoped.
Also I find my self not catching on to emb's scams fast enough, I think I may have just told him he can get a Harris's Hawk ... or at least do the falconry course, opps!
Be woken up at late but not to late o’clock with a cup of peppermint tea (my fav morning drink) by my much beloved emb. Chat, open cards, and be generally sickening.
Then got a phone call saying you didn’t get the job you applied for (optional). (On the plus side they told me when they said they would, and I got good feedback). Have friends phone and be congratulary on anniversary, and positive about interview.
Eat light breakfast, have shower, drink more tea, have suggested you should dry your hair properly as it is cold and you might catch a chill. Get dressed in girl clothes, including tights I managed not to put my hand through. Strangely I didn’t feel silly.
Go for Carvery; eat fantastic veggies and a small Yorkshire pudding. We forgot the veggie gravy, but they had some and it was really nice (not salty). Then I had a vanilla ice cream swimming in butterscotch sauce, I eat all most all the butterscotch and about half the ice cream. EMB had turkey, veggies, a huge Yorkshire but no ice cream. Drink sparkling water, still no none medication caffeine this year!
Go home, play with excessively over excited puppy, more peppermint tea and then retire for a nap, get woken a bit later with more peppermint tea, more phone calls, and then a view out the window at what could have been mistaken for the start of Ragnarök, horizontal snow and all.
Chat to family, good wishes and discussions of the weather. Discuss food, feed puppy, and start to cook. Snuggle down to watch pre-decided appropriate film while eating, with a break for more tea, and “rainy snow”. Watch film, with out comments having discovered EMB had never seen the end! More tea, more chat, type up day, go to sleep happy …
EMB is fine and well, safe and sound, having established this you are free to read on ...
Look left, that would be a blown out tyre, not a good thing at the best of times, this is the reason for the phone call.
Below is what happens when you combine Armco barrier and Ovlov, scary stuff
(When the rain starts to pour)
I'll be there for you
(Like I've been there before)
I'll be there for you
('Cause you're there for me too)
E4 have a tag line, "You don't need to buy the box set, we'll never stop repeating Friends"
I've sky plus-ed the last few episodes, which I've been watching, series 10 finished on Thursday. On Friday they started from the very beginning again! Today was the "I have elbows" episode ...
What did shock me was the first episode aired 28 April 1995 in the UK ... that's bang on 12 years ago.
12 years, I feel so old.
Wedding Bells are chiming,
Best wishes and congratulations

Courtesy of Google Analytics I can now see where people are when they pop in for a look at my wittering, I'm thinking 4 Continent's is pretty good considering there is absolutely no worthwhile content ...
now all I have to work out is how to get the others; apparently there is a research centre in Antarctica.
Happy Anniversary to Us,
Happy Anniversary to Us,
Happy Anniversary Dear Us,
Happy Anniversary to Us.
Four years today!
It seams like a really long time and hardly any time at all at the same time, but good in both way. It was an incredibly powerful day, glad it happened.
0ff to Cardiff today, to go see the relatives, nanny a grampy, plus an aunt or two.
m & DuLa are picking me up in 2 hours, I've still got to pack, shower, feed the dogs and do all those other dull things, so of course I'm typing this instead. maybe I should get up?
Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday Little Squidling,
Happy Birthday to You.
9lbs 14.5oz, born at 15:35 on Thursday 18th Jan
The first of my friends to have a baby on purpose, in order and everything. Congratulations to all three!
Right now my computer is taking part in the FightAIDS@Home project, helping to find new drugs. It may one day help in one of the other projects, it is all part of world community grid which means they use the bits of my computer that I don't.
It's not a short term project, in my case it's been going for 15 minutes and is 1% complete, but just think, my computer and by proxy me is helping to kind a drug to combat HIV/AIDS (or identify drugs that don't, which is just as important, but less exciting)
There are other projects on which they work, and you can choose just one a few, or like me just tick all, working on the principal that they know better than me what needs doing when.
If you're worried about it slowing you’re computer down (which is unlikely unless you're playing a very processor hungry game, or encrypting top secret files). You can set it to only run when your screensaver is active, so while you go make a cuppa, your computer is helping to one day save lives.
We’re on day 17, and this morning seems better.
Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday Dear SadSac,
Happy Birthday to You!
ok, so I know you don't like the name but it’s the thought that counts. Plus I can't think of another one, do you have any ideas? TDP? TMo?

Home now, had a fab weekend, saw all the sibs met many people who had heard of me, as the non London sister, whose names I had heard but have now forgotten. I have visions of the sibs spending so much time together, when it’s not true.
We stayed at the “Ibis London Earls Court” which I can not recommend highly enough, not a thing to complain about, which as you know is so unlike me
I am suppose to give m a “shout out” for something but don’t remember what.
Went with m&d to London, no streets paved with gold, and no visits to the queen, we went to see a play, which was incredible “IWitness” very moving, and scary, insight into martyrdom, interesting perspective. I wish I knew more about such things to appreciate it better. I feel a fraud, sitting there, watching. As if I don’t understand it well enough to do it justice, best I can say is: if you can see it, you should.
